Silence Sitting

I am the life that began in ruin
In tumult and terror, a wounded soul did rise.
I am the spirit once cloaked in darkness,
Bound by trauma, burdened by the most rapturous lies.
I am the wound healed, yet still trembling,
Echoes of the abused abuser’s desperate cries.
I am the spark that flickers at midnight,
The truest vibration, aware of its plight.
I am the tortured, the troubled, transmuting the weight,
Where shadows once whispered of fear and of fate.
I now sit in peace before that terrible sight,
No longer haunted, just holding the light.
The fire consumed me, yet forged me from blame,
Where destiny lay captive, bound tight in my shame.
My soul bore sadness, heavy and deep
Others burdens I’d carried; I’d not let them sleep.
Fear no longer binds me, nor clouds what I see
I face myself now, eyes open, soul free.
There’s a space I’ve stepped into, that’s quiet and true,
A sanctuary within, where I meet me anew.
I now sit in peace before that hallowed sight
No longer hiding, just holding the light.
